Learn how to photograph the coming trio of total eclipses in 2026, 2027 and 2028. The 400-page ebook provides expert advice and detailed illustrations on how to capture the eclipses using a variety of techniques, from simple to complex, in still images, time-lapses, and with video. The new edition has been revised with new gear and software, and with lessons learned at the 2023 and 2024 eclipses! The ebook provides tips on choosing the best filters, cameras, lenses, and tripods, and on using telescope mounts to track the Sun. Focal lengths, exposures, ISO settings, focusing, video resolutions – it’s all covered in 12 chapters. Detailed charts illustrate the eclipse sky for several sites along the path at each eclipse, 2026 to 2028, to help plan wide-angle and telephoto lens images. The biggest chapter – expanded to 100 pages – provides step-by-step tutorials on how to process eclipse images, from simple wide-angle shots, to time-lapses, and multi-exposure blends and image composites, using examples from 2024 and 2017. The ebook is available both as a PDF for all platforms, and for MacOS and iOS devices from the Apple Books Store. See www.amazingsky.com/EclipseBook for more information and links to purchase the ebook.
