🌿 Indigenous Psychological Services 🌿 Did you know that counselling services are available through FNIHB? First Nations and Inuit clients may be eligible for up to 22 counselling sessions per year. At Indigenous Psychological Services, we offer support for: • Youth • Children • Adults • Couples • Families In addition to counselling, we also provide: • Therapeutic groups • Parent–child reunification services • Community and professional trainings ✨ What makes our agency unique? Our providers are deeply committed to understanding how culture is part of the healing process. We believe healing happens through being, doing, and knowing, and our clinicians continually learn from Indigenous teachings, community knowledge, and lived experience. Our team also trains in modern, evidence-based approaches that focus on healing the brain and regulating the nervous system. Many people carry the impacts of intergenerational trauma, which can show up as a constantly “busy” mind, anxiety, sadness, or emotions that feel difficult to process. True healing often involves body-focused approaches that help calm the nervous system, support emotional regulation, and create space for the mind and body to restore balance. 💛 Healing is possible. When culture, knowledge, and modern therapeutic practices come together, meaningful change can happen.
