I have had so many messages asking for a step by step guide to painting over the gloss kitchen cupboards. So here you go, full guide on the gloss kitchen refurb below 👇🏼 1. Thoroughly clean cupboards with sugar soap to get off dust and grease 2. LIGHTLY sand - I used 180-200 grit and went over twice. You want to give a bit of grip but not indent 3. Use specific kitchen cupboard paint, I used @rustoleumuk and it’s been perfect 4. Use a small roller (avoid a paint brush where possible) as this gives a smoother finish 5. Paint the woodwork too! It brings it all together 6. Painting HACK - use a piece of cardboard between the skirting board and the floor for a quick application 7. Hold it together until the second coat (trust the process) 8. Optional, we added handles to give it a more homely look. Ours are from @goldenwarm_official 9.
