Caption: “Fruitful” Description: From the pewter base to the thousands of brush strokes, and all the way to the turned wooden knob at the top of our tower of fruit, this is a most powerful, AND practical piece in the works of Victoria & Richard MacKenzie-Childs history. We made it in Tuscany, from a bounty of over-the-top summer fruits falling from the trees at the pottery where we made most of our works whilst in Italy — the giant pile is the lid of a vessel! We have used it as a table center of conversation whilst the entrée arrives. Often, in it, are folded up messages for jaunty games to entice a way to world changing inventions & intentions. Each guest will lift the lid and pull out a plumb decorum-free conversation starter. We use it for … yes, fruit salad, but also lofty greens, warm buns & scones, a Bagelry, pastry pile, or a surprise cake, an unexpected cookie jar, or ice cream bonbons on dry-ice brought forth with billows a “smoke” twirling out for a grand finale to a fruitful gathering of New-World tumultuously-hearty thinkers. The kind which would rather grasp fresh thoughts from a “Fruit compote” than grovel in the cliché of commercialized rhetoric. Tada to the Harvest Table! 🍐 🍇 🍎 #mackenziechilds #fruit #compote #oneofakind #vintage #tuscany #world #unique #fruitful #ship #nyc #ferryboat #victoria #pewter #practical #special #beautiful #italy WHERE TO PURCHASE FROM OUR WEBSITES: www.victoriaandrichardemprise.com https://www.etsy.com/shop/VandRmacKenzieChilds
