🌿Mandala Farm Day Program🌿Are you an NDIS participant or carer looking for a day program or community access that feels more like a farm stay? Enrolment is now open. Mandala's Farm Day Program is for NDIS participants who are aged 15 - 45 with low support needs. A hands-on boutique experience located within the grounds of Calmsley Hill City Farm, set on 400-acres in Abbotsbury (Western Sydney)🌳 Our program develops work, social and life skills in a nature-filled environment.🌱 With koalas 🐨 just outside our hub office, participants engage in meaningful work tasks including the on-site Farmers Market Stall, earning shared profit based on contribution. Here's what we offer: 🐾 Animal Enrichment: a real treat for animal lovers. Participants have the opportunity to assist with enriching the lives of our nursery animals with fun activities that encourage curiosity, foraging and stimulate the senses. From goats & kids (baby goats), to sheep & lambs, rabbits and chickens – whether it's goat grooming or mirror play with the chooks, there’s lots of fun to be had, whilst learning about farm animal care 🎉 🍯 Product Making: using farm fresh raw honey, participants learn how to create small batch honey based products that are then sold at our on-site Farmers Market Stall daily with profits shared. 🌱 Permaculture: participants are allocated their very own raised garden bed. They choose what they'd like to grow, whether it's fruit, veggies or flowers or a combination, they'll learn how to plant, grow and harvest their crops whilst connecting with nature and learning valuable life skills. 🥗Food For Thought: a hands-on session designed to build independence through practical cooking and everyday life skills. Participants use fresh produce from our permaculture gardens to create simple, nutritious meals they can confidently recreate at home. 🧺Farmers Market: our on-site Farmers Market offers a unique opportunity to gain work experience in a supported familiar environment. Participants prepare products to sell at the on-site Farmers Market. It’s an opportunity to be hands-on and gain experience in customer service, EFTPOS and social skills. 🌿 Outdoor Sensory Spaces: participants have access to the farm nursery where they can pat & cuddle a variety of animals, providing a calming sensory experience. 🐑 Farm Life: participants have the opportunity to join in on sessions that bring the farm to life - cow milking, sheep shearing, working dog shows & stock whip cracking. Whether they’re learning new skills, creating products, or simply enjoying the animals or calm atmosphere, our program is designed to help participants grow and thrive in a supportive environment. 💬 Limited Availability!
