Airport security stopped me because of what I was wearing. Best stop I've ever had. Flying out of Heathrow. Coming back from a military funeral. He bought 2 hoodies right there, one for him, one for his son. Then he does something I'll never forget. Salutes me. Not for my service. For the hoodie. Says "Thank you for wearing that. More of us need to." That wasn't the first time. Three weeks later. Layover in Edinburgh. Woman behind me at Costa taps my shoulder. She's tearing up before she even says anything. Tells me her brother took his life last year. She's been wearing all black ever since. She took a picture of the back of my hoodie and sent it to her mum right there. Two days after that. Gate B7 in Manchester. Pilot walks up to me. Full uniform. He doesn't say much. Just points at my hoodie and goes, "I needed to see that today. Thank you." But it didn't stop there. Different airports. Different people. Same reaction. They make these specifically for moments like that. I travel a lot for work now. Wear this hoodie every single time. Since that security stop, I've had four more officers, two flight attendants, and a pilot stop me about it. And every time, I think the same thing. You never know what they're carrying. You never know who's standing behind you. Your back might be the only thing they see today that says "Stay." Front says "You're Enough." Back says "Dear person behind me, the world is a better place with you in it." Wear it. Be the reason someone keeps going.
