How we count

Ad text

Yesterday in our live insta with Caroline Spencer, the Lead Counsellor at the @listerfertilityclinic, we discussed how so many of us have felt massively let down by our bodies as we’ve struggled to conceive. So many of us have felt and still feel let down by our own bodies, sometimes feeling angry and ashamed. So many of us have felt and still feel that we are less of a woman because we can’t conceive naturally, or carry a child. So many of us have felt and still feel envy towards other women, with their functioning reproductive bodies. So many of us have felt and still feel like our partners couldn’t possibly love our bodies the way they could a fertile woman’s. Isn’t it utterly heartbreaking that so many of us have felt or still feel like this? Isn’t it heartbreaking that despite the damn hard determination, the scans, the injections, the bloating, the soreness, the tiredness, the emotional strain, the emotional pain and the physical exhaustion, we are still so hard on ourselves. Aren’t we the ones with the incredible bodies? Shouldn’t we be celebrating the fact that despite everything we’ve put our bodies through, we still get up, we go to work and we still look amazing?! Caroline asked us yesterday, to instead of focusing on where we feel our bodies have let us down, to celebrate what we love, whether that be our eyes, our feet, our hair, or the beauty spot on our left butt cheek 😉 So will you join the ivf warrior body celebration by telling us what part of your body you love? If you struggle with this, you can tell us how you feel about your body. You’ll find that this community has a wonderful way of suddenly making you feel like you are in a room surrounded by amazing friends who have all been in exactly the same place. So, here’s to you all and your amazing bodies!!!! 🤸🏻‍♀️ #infertility #bodygoals #ttccommunity #ivfwarriors #ivfwarriorbodycelebration
