On April 9th, my first EVER kids’ book Boom! Pow! I’m Braver Now! officially comes out! Which still feels wild to say out loud! A few years ago, after my accident, my wife and I were trying to figure out how to talk to our kids about what happened. Not just the injury, but what it does to you when life knocks you flat, and you have to decide whether you’re going to just stay down or get back up. That’s where this story came from. Maybe you’re scratching your head, wondering, “Hey, what’s this guy doing writing a book? I didn’t know he could read!” Well, I have got some great news for you. There are LOTS of awesome pictures. And seriously, I didn’t set out to write a kids' book. I was just trying to put words around fear, failure, and courage in a way my own kids could understand… and somehow it turned into something I realized other kids might need too. I wanted to do something special for you all, so I signed a small batch of copies. I wasn’t sure if this is something you guys would even be interested in, so I didn’t sign a bunch.
