Hundreds of workers in Cebu City underwent free health screenings and medical consultations at the Alaga para sa Manggagawa Health and Wellness activity organized on Labor Day by Unilab in partnership with Radio Mindanao Network (RMN) Cebu stations DYHP 612 KHz and iFM 93.9 MHz. Held at the Hipodromo Gym, the event went beyond healthcare services. Participants also received fresh vegetables, sacks of rice, and grocery items, along with free haircuts, nail care, and food treats. The celebration featured live performances from station talents, while raffle draws added excitement, with prizes including a 50-kilo sack of rice and a mountain bike. Present at the event to honor Cebu’s workforce were DYHP Station Manager Ruphil Banoc, Program Director Aida Tampus, Cebu City Councilor Francis Esparis, and Hipodromo Barangay Captain Ruperto Bacolod Jr., alongside RMN employees who volunteered their time. Through this collaboration, RMN and Unilab helped make Labor Day more meaningful—delivering care, support, and appreciation to the workers at the heart of the celebration.
