Have you ever started on a journey or faced a challenge that you knew you needed to do but felt anxious or nervous about? Have you taken a step that you were convinced was right but needed God to intervene and bring clarity or open a door? Starting the business, buying the house, starting the family or even applying for the new job. These life changes can be scary. When Moses died and Joshua took over his leadership role God promised to be with him and told him several times “Be strong and courageous be very strong and courageous”. He was the man that would lead Israel into the promised land. “So when the people broke camp to cross the Jordan, the priests carrying the ark of the covenant went ahead of them. Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan, while the water flowing down to the Sea of the Arabah (that is, the Dead Sea) was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite Jericho. The priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord stopped in the middle of the Jordan and stood on dry ground, while all Israel passed by until the whole nation had completed the crossing on dry ground.” Joshua‬ ‭3:14-17‬ ‭ I noticed a couple of miracles from the verses above. 1. Flood stage water does not normally stop and pile up. 2. Being a contractor that has worked in the bottom of lakes and ditches for over 30 years I’ve never seen dry ground in the bottom of a drained lake or river bed. The journey you are on will probably have some things in common with the story above. 1)The circumstances and seasons of life will probably not look like the best time. 2)You will probably have to take a step into the direction of your fears and get your feet wet prior to seeing the miracle. Trusting God and having faith in his provision and guidance is a journey. If you feel peaceful inside but a little scared of the circumstances then start the journey and watch the miracle unfold. Melani gave me a framed quote several years ago that says: “What God has called you to do will always be bigger than the resources with which you start. He is a God that is available, essential, unlimited and there is no box.” I’m believing for something big for you today!!!! Maybe you've never really known Jesus.
