It is China’s one and only "Titanium City"! Did you know? This place holds the world's largest reserves of titanium and vanadium. This Summer, we’re diving deep into insider knowledge at Panzhihua University. This university focuses on Material Science, especially the production and processing of titanium metal, which is used in everything from airplanes to high-end medical devices. Walking through the Faculty of Materials Science, you’ll see serious research in action, from ore extraction to forming lightweight yet strong and durable titanium components. This is a prime example of scientific advancement turning underground minerals into innovation. Experience the art of Chinese ceramics, visit the Titanium Museum, explore a replica mansion, and then head to the Xichang Satellite Launch Center – a key launch site for China’s "Long March" rockets. Here, you’ll witness the grandeur of "Asia's First Tower" and the awe-inspiring technology of space exploration. There’s an exhibition hall for the Chang'e Project with a lunar rover model, plus a 9D simulation activity where you can sit in a rocket launch simulator and blast off into space. I guarantee it’s as thrilling as any sci-fi movie! And finally, the Lufeng Dinosaur Valley. At the end of our trip, we’ll go "fossil digging" at the World Dinosaur Valley in Yunnan Province. This is one of the world's largest "dinosaur graveyards," with countless fossils discovered, especially the "Lufengosaurus," one of the oldest plant-eating dinosaurs on Earth. The highlight is the museum built right on top of the actual excavation site (In-situ Exhibition Hall). You’ll see dinosaur bones lying in their original positions within the rock layers, some of which you can even touch! It makes you feel like a full-fledged paleontologist. This trip will leave you feeling completely fulfilled, from tiny particles of titanium ore to dinosaur bones from over 200 million years ago, not to mention the thrill of the rocket launch tower taking you to space.
