Can you believe I decided to take my lash business seriously when I was pregnant with my second child. I had been lashing for a few years, as and when. This photo was taken at the same time I was staying up until the early hours of the morning (not because I had a newborn) but because I was going back and forth with suppliers ready to launch my first lash trays, they got off to a great start then failed miserably 3 months later 🤣. My business has had a lot of stopping and starting and chopping and changing. You are never going to get it right first time. Things will cost money. You can be afraid of failure or you can see it as a stepping stone to getting closer to success. Either way, being a mum is hard. But, I found it harder to imagine a life where I was unable to provide for my children. We wasn’t gifted money for a mortgage, no family members were able to house us, we wasn’t given free childcare. There was no ‘village’. I lived no we’re near any of my friends and it was isolating. Not everyone thinks the same as me and I love that for mums that are happy to not work etc. But, I am not one of them mums and I never will be. I am unapologetic when it comes to working around my children. My children are my why, for why I get it done and not my excuse for why I can’t. As much as I share the journey of where we are at now and everything we have achieved. I am still so aligned when I speak to other mums wanting to start a business around their little ones. I live to hear of the success stories. I absolutely adore all of the small and big wins. So, if you are new here. I’m the lash mum that refused to give up. I’ll be straight with you and say it’s not easy in the beginning. But it is sooo worth it 🙏 ❤️
