This #WorldRuralDevelopmentDay, we’re spotlighting Sudanese refugee women in Chad who are building community, independence and food security through agriculture. At Iridimi refugee settlement in Chad, refugee and local women are working side by side through a UNHCR-supported rain-fed agriculture project. Together, they're cultivating millet, sesame and peanuts across 195 hectares of land.
