Mosquitoes are like egos. In the realm of wild animals, lions devour about a hundred people a year, snakes about fifty thousand, sharks about ten, but mosquitoes kill more than 700,000 people annually through bites that carry various viruses and sickness. They are so minuscule, yet so lethal. Similarly, the small details of egos, which may not seem lethal, are what feed and strengthen them. Small details like a glance, a kind word, a pat on the shoulder, holding hands when greeting someone, a smile, a gesture toward the opposite sex—these feed the ego of lust, and so on with the other egos that send their own mosquitoes to suck blood and transmit diseases or infections, which can be compared to envy, anger, pride, etc. Only in a state of "novelty alertness," in a third state of conscience, can one self-observe, study, or discover how small details feed the monster of the ego. Fortunately, within us there is a "Divine Particle," our Divine Mother, and if we turn to her, begging her to dissolve that detail or even a thought, she will do so. "My Mother, take this flaw and disintegrate it with your spear." This is called "Death in Motion" or "Dying from moment to moment."
