Join our 'Finding Peace in Difficult Times' meditation classes at Port Credit Library, every Tuesday, 7:00 to 8:15pm, starting 20th October 🧘♂️ Price - $15 per class or $50 for the full 4-week series Every day we face challenges in life - from small things like stubbing a toe or getting stuck in traffic, to larger difficulties such as conflict, disappointment, loss, or relationship challenges. While we cannot always control what happens to us, we can learn to control how we respond and our inner experience of these situations. In these classes, we will explore practical meditations and ways of thinking that help us remain peaceful and positive when we encounter difficulties in life. By responding to difficulties with wisdom and patience, we can transform challenges into opportunities for growth and inner development. These classes include two guided meditations and a practical talk on a weekly topic. After each class, there is time for Q&A. Each class is self-contained, so you are welcome to join at any time. No previous experience is required. We require booking in advance, as our classes are often fully attended. You do not need to bring anything with you, and the meditation is conducted on chairs (though you are welcome to bring a cushion if you prefer). The Teacher 🧘♂️ Matthew Bergshoeff teaches meditation with warmth and kindness, bringing a deep enthusiasm for Buddhist practice to everything he shares. He loves supporting his students and enjoys making the teachings practical, accessible, and easy to apply in daily life. Down-to-earth and approachable, Matthew creates a relaxed and welcoming environment where students feel comfortable, inspired, and encouraged in their meditation practice.
