Ad text
For several hot and sticky weeks in June and July, photographer @luquense, armed with his enormous Polaroid Big Shot camera, spent his evenings zigzagging through the city documenting New Yorkers beginning, in the middle of, and wrapping up their nights out. From the Ping-Pong players of Seward Park to the ravers under the K Bridge in Greenpoint, all these people had one thing in common, Michael says: “Everybody was a character.” Which is also evident from the interviews Abby Schreiber conducted with the people they met — among them a heavy-metal drummer in a band with his dad called Vomit Fist, an Upper East Sider who met her (now ex-) husband on the dance floor of Studio 54 on her 16th birthday, and a bingo-hall legend who would rather be getting her nails done. Swipe to see a selection from a sweaty scrapbook of New Yorkers going out this summer and tap the link in our bio to read the Night Moves zine in full. This week, you can grab a free copy of the zine at @casamagazinesnyc and @iconicmagazines.
