From camping-trip spots to waterfalls I photographed as a kid, the landscapes of the U.P. have played a big role in my life. One of my favorite places is Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, where the cliffs—carved by wind, water, and time—are always evolving. Golden hour is when it truly comes alive, as the light washes over the rock and transforms the shoreline into something truly special.
