Hyundai Motor and LACMA (@lacma) are extending their longstanding partnership through 2037, opening a new chapter of shared vision and possibility. Over the past decade, this partnership has supported major exhibitions, advanced Korean art scholarship, and empowered 45 artist projects through the Art + Technology Lab. Now, a new chapter begins. Starting in 2028, the Hyundai Project will introduce a newly established biennial survey spotlighting artists with deep connections to Los Angeles and the Pan-Pacific region—each presenting a newly commissioned work, an artist-developed banner installed on the exterior of LACMA’s BCAM a year before the exhibition opening, and an accompanying exhibition catalogue. Meanwhile, beginning in 2026, the Art + Technology Lab will transition into a new biennial grant cycle, expanding its public-facing programs with symposiums, demo days, and collaborative platforms that invite broader participation in experimental, research-driven artistic practice. Join us as we continue shaping the future where art, technology, and community come together. #LACMA Image Credit: 1.
