This is my fourth Career Shift. You read that right, FOURTH. I went from a Communication Degree with a emphasis in Broadcast Journalism…to banking…to Nursing….to Life Coaching. With each major change it required me to learn how to create Confidence, while also carrying a level of uncertainty in doing something NEW…in changing IDENTITIES. I tried to figure out the HOW each time, and got stuck in a lot of confusion. But, what I started to realize with each big Shift, was that I needed to address WHO I was becoming before the HOW. My purpose, my vision, why I desired it, was what helped me step into the next career Shift. I paid attention to all my fears, doubts, my worst case scenarios. I didn’t try and action my way out of them. I left each Identity at the top of my game. I became a leader in all of those careers, and was the person who embraced the pressure of the jobs and performed at a high level of execution without overwhelm.
