🔥 One idea. Two sentences. Two grammar levels. There are a few sentence patterns that work across dozens of IELTS Speaking topics. Once you learn them, you can reuse them again and again. They don't change your ideas. They just help you express them in a stronger way. For example, imagine this cue card: 💬 Describe a celebrity beauty video you watched. You could say: 💬 I watched a celebrity beauty video. It was surprisingly calming and entertaining. Simple and clear. That's band 6 grammar. You could say: 💬 I thought it would be just another random celebrity beauty video, but it was surprisingly calming and entertaining. This sentence already shows: 💫 correct tense agreement (thought → would / was) 💫 future in the past That's Band 7 grammar. Now take exactly the same idea and say it in a more advanced way: 💬 What I thought would be just another random celebrity beauty video actually turned out to be surprisingly calming and entertaining. Here: 💫 the subject is a whole idea, not just "I" 💫 you still use future in the past (would) 💫 you use a more advanced sentence structure that sounds more natural and sophisticated That's Band 8 grammar.
