Ad text

For years, I was doing what most women are still being told to do. Eating less. Cutting carbs. Eating ‘Clean’. Doing More Cardio. And wondering why my body wasn’t responding. Low energy. Poor recovery. Constant frustration. Weight would yo-yo up and down. Then I changed my approach. Not by doing more… but by doing the right things consistently. This is the weekly system I follow now: 1. I eat real, delicious, pro-metabolic foods • Fruit, orange juice, potatoes, quality proteins, butter, dairy, eggs, sourdough, gelatinous broths • Enough calories to support energy production • Not trying to “get away” with eating as little as possible but instead fuelling and nourishing my body 2. I eat carbohydrates (and yes, sugar) • To support thyroid, training, and recovery • Not something I earn or fear 3. I prioritise nutrient dense foods over supplements • Beef liver for vitamin A, copper, and B vitamins • Oysters for zinc and key minerals Because a lean, healthy body doesn’t just need calories… it needs nutrients to produce energy 4. I support detox pathways • Simple things like Dr Ray Peats raw carrot salad daily • Supporting gut health and estrogen clearance • No extremes 5. I train to build muscle • Strength training with progression (3-4 days per week, 2 sets close to failure) • Enough food to support it • Not chasing exhaustion 6. I adjust based on biofeedback, not just the scale • Sleep, energy, mood, digestion • Temperature and pulse If these are off, something needs to change Your body is always giving you data This isn’t about eating more and hoping for the best. It’s a structured way to rebuild your metabolism so your body responds again Most women over 40 don’t need more discipline. They need a better strategy. Save this and come back to it this week. Comment ‘HORMONE’ and I’ll send you the guide #womenover40 #nustrength #perimenopause #fatlossover40 #metabolichealth
