ALT 132 down to 28. AST 108 down to 24. Lost 14 lbs without really trying. 5 months total. got diagnosed with stage 2 fatty liver back in november, found it on a routine ultrasound i was getting for something totally unrelated. my dr told me to lose some weight and come back in 6 months. that was literally the whole conversation lol, no explanation of anything. i sat in the car afterward and cried a little tbh, my mom had liver problems when she got older and i just kept thinking about her. writing this out because i know what its like to sit there reading these posts wondering if anything actually works. i read reversal posts in some groups for weeks and almost nobody says what they actually did... im 47, 5'5, was 168 lb at diagnosis and im 154 lb today. desk job, 2 kids, the honest truth is i didnt have time to overhaul my life so i just picked things i could actually do and stuck with them. 1- Cut sugar and most bread. not perfect, i still have toast on weekends sometimes. cut soda completely, i was doing 1-2 diet sodas a day before this. cut pastries, anything with high fructose corn syrup. biggest change was breakfast. used to eat an english muffin or one of those yogurt parfait things with granola, now its 2 eggs and a piece of fruit. that one swap probably did more than anything else in the first month. 2- walk 30 min a day. just walking, nothing fancy. didnt go to the gym or lift anything. i walk before work most days, if its raining i do laps around the living room with a podcast on. some weeks i miss 2 days but i try not to skip more than 2 in a row. 3- 14:10 fasting. stop eating at 7pm and dont eat again til 9am. water and black coffee in the morning. this was the easiest one tbh because it just meant skipping the snack i used to have at 9 watching tv. 4- cut alcohol way down. i was doing 6-7 glasses of wine a week. cut to maybe 6 a month now. im not gonna lie and say i never drink. but the volume is way less and i notice the diff if i do have a glass. 5- milk thistle. ok i know a lot of people say milk thistle didnt do anything for them, and i was that person too for a long time. tried the one from target years ago and felt absolutely nothing. but this time around i actually did some digging because i kept seeing it come up in some groups and i went looking for one with real purity and the right dose, not whatever was sitting on the drugstore shelf. the one i ended up on is called Happy Liver by a company called Ritual Labs. started taking it around month 2, so ive been on it for about 3 months now. someone mentioned it in a comment on a post i was venting on a while back, thats how i found it. 2 capsules in the morning with my coffee, thats the whole thing. if anyone cares about the why, ill try to explain what i read because it took me a while to understand and no dr ever bothered. from what i understand most milk thistle on shelves is too low purity to actually reach liver cells, which is probably why the one i tried years ago did nothing for me. the one im on has the silymarin at a strength thats actually been studied to get in there and do something. but the part that surprised me was the other ingredient, inositol. apparently your liver stores fat inside itself, like actual fat packed into the organ, and when its already full of its own fat it cant process the fat you eat on top, which is kind of why the belly doesnt budge no matter what you do. inositol helps the liver push that stored fat back out. i think thats honestly why the scale started moving faster these last 3 months. i was doing the same diet the whole time but the weight came off quicker after i added this. i cant tell you for sure if it moved the labs or if everything together did. i just know the numbers kept coming down after i added it and i kept taking it. thats everything i did. happy to answer questions in the comments, the support on these posts has been so helpful to me and just trying to pay it forward ❤️ link is below if anyone wants to look at the one im on: https://rituallabs.shop/products/happy-liver
