“..the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.” Revelation 19:6 “Faith keeps itself occupied only with His omnipotence” Andrew Murray What in the world is omnipotence, you might ask? The google definition says this: “having unlimited power; able to do anything.” This reminded me of a song we used to sing in church. “God can do anything, Anything, anything; God can do can do anything but fail. He can save, He can keep; He can cleanse, and He will. God can do anything but fail. He’s the Alpha and Omega, The beginning and the end. He’s the fairest of ten-thousand to my soul. God can do anything, Anything, anything; God can do anything but fail.” Ira F. Stanphill If God is omnipotent, anything that He sets out to do will be accomplished. There is nothing or no one who can overpower Him and stop Him. Think about this. God set out to create the universe. He spoke and it happened. I have to repeat this for emphasis,He spoke and it happened. If you stop and think about it, can you wrap your mind around the complexity, vastness, and precision of the universe? Be honest. I know that I can’t. The deeper scientists dig, the more amazing it is. This same all powerful God has made provision for you to be able to call Him “Father.” You can be adopted into His family. “Yet to all who did receive him(Jesus), to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” John 1:11-13 “The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” Romans 8:15-16 “Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.” Galatians 4:6-7 Abba is an Aramaic word similar to daddy. This all powerful God who created everything that is seen and all that is unseen, and everything contained therein, wants you to b e His child. He loves you. We are separated from Him by violating His moral laws, in other words by committing sin. God is perfect in every way. He is perfectly just. Justice demands that we should be punished. God loves perfectly. Love cries out that we should be forgiven. To reconcile this, God became a man in the form of Jesus Christ. He lived a perfect life, suffered, died, was burried, and rose from the dead to pay the price of our sin. It is written that all who call upon the Name of the Lord will be saved. Call on Jesus today. You can become part of God’s family for all eternity. You will have a Father who will never fail or come up short. He can do anything, but fail. Admit that you have sinned, ask God to forgive you. Ask Jesus to take charge of your life. If you sincerely do this the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of adoption will live inside of you and begin to change youm the inside out. If you have done this today, type “Jesus” in the comments. Jesus loves you and so do we!
