This is the Law and the Prophets. โEnter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many. How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few.โ ๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ก The world tells us that the easiest path is usually the best one. Jesus tells us the opposite. The wide road is comfortable because it asks little of us. It allows us to hold onto our pride, avoid sacrifice, and live for ourselves. Many travel that road because it requires no effort to follow the crowd. The narrow gate is different. It is the path of forgiveness when we would rather hold a grudge. It is choosing truth when a lie would be easier. It is loving difficult people, praying when we are tired, remaining faithful when no one is watching, and trusting God when we cannot see where He is leading us. Jesus does not call us to the narrow gate because He wants life to be harder. He calls us there because it is the road that leads to Him. Every saint walked this path. Every act of love, every sacrifice, every prayer offered in faith moves us one step closer to eternal life. Today, Jesus asks us a simple question: Which road am I choosing? The broad road of convenience, or the narrow road that leads to Heaven? Though the narrow gate may seem difficult at times, we never walk through it alone. Christ walks beside us, strengthens us, and waits for us at the end of the journey. ๐๐๐๐๐ฌ ๐ฃ๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐๐ฅ Lord Jesus, When I am tempted to take the easy path, give me the courage to follow You instead. Help me to treat others with the same mercy, patience, and kindness that I desire for myself. Teach me to choose what is right rather than what is convenient, and what is holy rather than what is popular. Lead me through the narrow gate that leads to life. Strengthen me when the road is difficult, lift me when I stumble, and keep my eyes fixed on Heaven. May my words, actions, and choices today bring me closer to You and help others see Your love through me. Amen. "Enter through the narrow gate." โ Matthew 7:13 โ๏ธ
