After turning things around, she realized one thing: She could start her own. Today, she’s the founder and president of City-Wide General Contractors, a general contracting company in Houston specializing in multifamily communities. Her coolness under pressure and strong financial management have guided the business through uncertain times. “I started my business because I was tired of living paycheck to paycheck and I knew my potential. I knew I could go out there, do the work, run the office, and grow something of my own,” she said. Sandra recently fulfilled a dream of buying her own commercial building through a low-interest loan from LiftFund US. The loan was made possible in part through Wells Fargo’s $20 million Open for Business Growth program.
