We’re proud to have supported an inspiring literacy event at Father Porte Memorial Dene School in Black Lake, where award-winning author and illustrator Miriam Körner shared her creative process with students. The Grade 1-3 kids were captivated as they learned how Miriam wrote her book Fox and Bear and illustrated it entirely out of cardboard. The students were full of curiosity, asking thoughtful questions and sharing their own stories. Encouraging literacy and fostering creativity in young minds is at the heart of what we do. We’re grateful to Rise Air and the Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority for making this event possible, and we look forward to continuing to support activities that inspire the next generation.
