⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Door Within by Wayne Thomas Batson really inspired me as a writer. This fantastic tale incorporates everything a middle grade reader might want in a fantasy story: action, adventure, and epic struggles galore. But it was the simple exposition of faith at just the right time in just the right way that made me rethink my own writing style. Mr. Batson penned one of the best gospel messages I've seen outside the Bible. His work directly inspired the conversation with Lauren and Tye in Fear No Evil and later Ethan and Iron Sister in Armor of God. I highly recommend this book for any middle-grade reader and grown-ups too
