Aman has revealed the summit residences of The Skywaters — two Sky Villas and a tightly held run of two- to five-bedroom homes occupying the calmest floors of what will be Singapore’s first supertall skyscraper. Construction has passed the one-third mark of the tower’s eventual 305 metres, with completion set for 2028. Aman’s layer sits at the crown. The two Sky Villas offer 360-degree views to the South China Sea and private pools; below them, a curated run of two- to five-bedroom penthouses and residences adds landscaped terraces that pull living space outdoors, with select homes carrying their own pools, entertainment rooms and wellness spaces. @kha.studios — the practice’s long-standing partner across Aman’s portfolio — is drawing on Singapore’s black-and-white colonial bungalows for the interiors. The address has held several jobs before this one. Built in 1986 as the Ministry of Finance’s Treasury Building, the 52-storey tower later became Temasek Tower, then AXA Tower, before its 2023 demolition — the tallest building ever voluntarily demolished. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill is design consultant on the new tower, working alongside Singapore’s DCA Architects, rebuilding on the same foundation for developers Perennial Holdings and Alibaba. The first of the collection’s 44 Aman-branded residences sold on 8 October, two floors above where the hotel ends: 1,798 square feet for S$11.69 million, or S$6,501 per square foot — a record for a 99-year leasehold project in Singapore. The residences come with a spa floor built around longevity and restorative treatment, a members-only bar looking out over the South China Sea, and standing access to Aman Club, the brand’s global private members’ network. Aman’s own founding was horizontal, not vertical: forty low pavilions scattered across twenty-four hectares of coconut grove on Phuket’s Pansea Beach, opened as @amanpuri in 1988.
