And the strangest part — the less I tried to “get him back,” the more naturally he seemed to return into my life. Now we are together again. But these are not the same relationship we had before. There is less pain and more understanding. Less struggle and more choice in each other. And for the first time, I feel like we didn’t just come back to each other — we learned how to truly be together.
