Developed by Hugo Tobar, the story of @nkinstitute is more than just a method of kinesiology or a qualification. It’s a lifelong journey shaped by curiosity, lived experience, and a deep inquiry into stress management, and the body’s natural intelligence. From studying engineering in Ecuador, to time immersed in ashrams and Buddhist monasteries in India, to returning to Australia to formally study kinesiology - Hugo’s path was not conventional. Encouraged by his teacher and mentor Charles Krebs, Hugo began developing his own ideas, first presenting internationally in 1999. Over the next 25+ years, NK has evolved through Hugo’s continuous teaching, travel, and writing of more than 100 courses - refined over time into a comprehensive, detailed and professional system of working. At @nkinstitute, training is intentionally thorough. Students aren’t rushed into clinics. Depth, skill, and maturity come first. The aim isn’t fast certification - it’s the development of high-quality, highly competent kinesiologists. Central to this philosophy is a clear distinction: Kinesiology is a stress management system - not a form of diagnosis, therapy, or a healing ‘technique’. Stress may be mental, emotional, physical, or spiritual. When stress is removed, the system finds its own equilibrium. ✨ Explore the philosophy behind NK ✨ Follow us @nkinstitute or head to the link in our bio to learn more 🤍 #maketheunknownknown #anchoredinscience #spiritinessence
