𝐏𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬 are prophetic signs in the Bible that proceed the return of Jesus to rule the world as king. We can look forward to a one world government where absolute justice prevails and “there will be no more crying or sorrow” (Isaiah 65:16). At the start of the 21st century we have seen epidemics of bird flu, swine flu, hepatitis, measles, Zika, Ebola, and SARS. We all know too well of the Covid pandemic. In Psalm 91, God promises to protect his people from the disease and violence of these times, “At your side one thousand people may die, or even ten thousand right beside you, but you will not be hurt.” (verse 7) We should regularly read Psalm 91 for comfort. We can trust the words of God, who cannot lie. But these promises are conditional and require a relationship with God that can only be secured through accepting Jesus as our savior. Anyone can claim the protection of Psalm 91 with this simple prayer: Jesus, I have failed and sinned. I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died on the cross for my sins, and were raised from the dead to reign as King. I have changed my mind and want to change the direction of my life. Let Your Holy Spirit fill me and guide me from now on. In Your precious name. AMEN August 3 #Bible #faith #pray #amen
