Being home with her was all that mattered. Etsy made it happen. 😭🙏🏻 I earned $8,900 my first year. $42,916 my second year And exploded to $76,425 my 3rd year on Etsy All with my sweet baby at my feet. My advice? Earn stay-home-with-your-baby income: 1) Start in digital products It’s the cheapest, simplest way to start and maximize the time you can spend with your kids. Once you create products you can sell them on repeat. These are things like printables, guides, checklists, planners, sublimation files, invitations, homeschool lesson plans, coloring pages, etc. (this has become my sweet spot and fave things to teach about) 2) Find opportunities by studying best sellers on Etsy Etsy is a search engine. Shoppers come to the platform and search for what they want. So if you want to leverage their 90 million existing shoppers, create things that already have proven demand. 3) Pay close attention to the details on listings that are selling well Don’t copy. Let them be your teachers. What are they selling? What does their thumbnail look like? What is their pricing? What does their description say? What else is in their photo gallery? What does their listing title say? What do their reviews say? 4) Expect to suck at first. Having really reasonable expectations for this is the key to sticking it out long enough to make it. I made $8k year one. Nothing earth shattering. But on top of not paying for daycare— it was enough. And it showed me how much more I could do. You’re going to need to create a lot of products. You’re going to have to put in enough reps to get good. If you go into this with that expectation you’ll have the capacity to keep going until you hit your stride. 5) Listen to my podcast for tons of strategy, inspiration, and encouragement. It’s called “How to sell your stuff on Etsy” on all the big podcast platforms. We’re about to hit 1 million downloads and we’ve helped thousands of sellers. 🥹 Mama— I just want you to know— very genuinely: this IS possible. I did it. I’ve helped hundreds of other moms do it. And it can be your reality too. Stick with me here— I’ll keep sharing all the best tips and cheering you on. 🥰
