Conscious Intimacy Games are like yoga for your relationships. They STRETCH you. They act as a mirror that show you the patterns and habits that lead to you over giving, people pleasing, performing, pretending and carrying too much weight on your shoulders in your relationships. They show you how you're showing up in conflict, how well you are at setting boundaries, and they test you to see how honet and authentic you can be in the presence of people you have never met before. They are kind of like a magnifying glass that burns away imposter syndrome, second guessing yourself, low self worth, loneliness, procrastination and the other mental viruses that keep us playing small. As a mixed martial artist and medicine healer, I know that the secret to mastering any discipline is study AND practice, and conscious relationships are no exception. So many people read books like Nonviolent Communication, only to slip back into the same toxic patterns in their next argument. I get it, I've been there. I didn't create Conscious Intimacy Games for you, I created them for me! I had BRUTAL relationships in the past, with all sorts of dramas and traumas. I didn't have people around me to model healthy, safe, conscious relationships, and the people who raised me didn't either. So I read books, took courses, went to workshops, and it was all great, yet something was missing. As soon as I went out into the "real world," I found myself surrounded by conflict, gossip, drama, and people "should-ing" on each other. I realized that I needed a place to practice advanced, conscious communication techniques and connection strategies that the average person simply wasn't practicing. I needed a place where I could master the relationships techniques I was learning BEFORE I needed to use them in real life. I needed a place where I could give and receive touch without it "meaning something" or leading somewhere. I needed a place where I could feel safe to be my true, authentic, Higher Self, without playing small or dimming my shine. And that's why I created Conscious Intimacy Games. We've hosted 100 events and 10 retreats in places like Tulum, Sedona, Boulder, Playa del Carmen, Austin, Chirripo and now, Asheville.
