ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ අපනයන පරිවර්තනය ඉදිරියට ගෙන යාම සඳහා ශක්තිමත් ප්‍රතිපත්ති පෙළගැස්මක්, විනයගරුකව ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීම සහ විශ්වාසදායක සංවර්ධන හවුල්කාරිත්වයන් අවශ්‍ය වේ. 2026–2030 ජාතික අපනයන සංවර්ධන සැලැස්මේ (NEDP) ප්‍රගතිය සමාලෝචනය කිරීම සඳහා ADB කරුණු සෙවීමේ මෙහෙයුම අතරතුර ශ්‍රී ලංකා අපනයන සංවර්ධන මණ්ඩලය සහ ආසියානු සංවර්ධන බැංකුව අතර උපායමාර්ගික සම්බන්ධතාවයට සහභාගී වීමට ලැබීම සතුටක්. EDB හි සභාපති සහ ප්‍රධාන විධායක නිලධාරි ලෙස, රජයේ දැක්මට අනුකූලව ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ අපනයන ප්‍රමුඛ වර්ධන න්‍යාය පත්‍රය වේගවත් කිරීම පිළිබඳ ඵලදායී සාකච්ඡා සඳහා කනුප්‍රියා ගුප්තා මහත්මියගේ නායකත්වයෙන් යුත් ADB නියෝජිත පිරිස ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ නිලධාරීන් සමඟ පිළිගැනීමට ලැබීම ගැන මම සතුටු වෙමි. සමෘද්ධිමත් ජාතියක් - ලස්සන ජීවිතයක්. අපනයන සංවර්ධන මණ්ඩලයේ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ කළමනාකාරිත්වය සමඟ එක්වෙමින්, අපි ප්‍රමුඛතා ක්ෂේත්‍ර කිහිපයක් කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු කළෙමු: •⁠ ⁠කැබිනට් අනුමැතිය කරා ප්‍රගතිය සහ NEDP නිල වශයෙන් දියත් කිරීම •⁠ ⁠වෙළඳ, ආයෝජන සහ කර්මාන්ත සංවර්ධන ප්‍රතිපත්ති පාදක ණය දීමේ වැඩසටහන යටතේ තාක්ෂණික සහාය අවශ්‍යතා - උප වැඩසටහන 2 •⁠ ⁠ඵලදායී ලෙස ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීම සඳහා ක්ෂණික ඊළඟ පියවර •⁠ ⁠ඉහළ මට්ටමේ මෙහෙයුම් කමිටුවක් ස්ථාපිත කිරීම •⁠ ⁠කැපවූ ව්‍යාපෘති කළමනාකරණ ඒකකයක් (PMU) ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීම •⁠ ⁠ශක්තිමත් අධීක්ෂණ සහ වාර්තාකරණ රාමුවක් සංවර්ධනය කිරීම 2026–2030 ජාතික අපනයන සංවර්ධන සැලැස්ම තරඟකාරිත්වය වැඩි දියුණු කිරීම, අපනයන වෙළඳපොළ විවිධාංගීකරණය කිරීම, ආයතන ශක්තිමත් කිරීම සහ ශ්‍රී ලංකාව සඳහා තිරසාර ආර්ථික වර්ධනයක් ලබා දීම සඳහා තීරණාත්මක මාර්ග සිතියමක් වනු ඇත. අපගේ ජාතිය සඳහා ශක්තිමත්, අපනයන-ධාවනය කරන ලද අනාගතයක් ගොඩනැගීම සඳහා අපි එක්ව කටයුතු කරන විට ආසියානු සංවර්ධන බැංකුවේ අඛණ්ඩ හවුල්කාරිත්වය සහ කර්මාන්ත හා ව්‍යවසායකත්ව සංවර්ධන අමාත්‍යාංශයේ සහයෝගය මම අගය කරමි. Driving Sri Lanka’s export transformation requires strong policy alignment, disciplined execution, and trusted development partnerships. It was a pleasure to participate in the strategic engagement between the Sri Lanka Export Development Board and Asian Development Bank during the ADB Fact-Finding Mission to review progress on the National Export Development Plan (NEDP) 2026–2030. As Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of the EDB, I was pleased to welcome the ADB delegation led by Ms. Kanupriya Gupta, together with senior officials, for constructive discussions on accelerating Sri Lanka’s export-led growth agenda in line with the Government’s vision of A Thriving Nation – A Beautiful Life. Joined by the senior management of the EDB, we focused on several priority areas: •⁠ ⁠Progress towards Cabinet approval and the official launch of the NEDP •⁠ ⁠Technical assistance requirements under the Trade, Investment and Industry Development Policy-Based Lending Programme – Subprogram 2 •⁠ ⁠Immediate next steps for effective implementation •⁠ ⁠Establishment of a high-level Steering Committee •⁠ ⁠Operationalisation of a dedicated Project Management Unit (PMU) •⁠ ⁠Development of a robust monitoring and reporting framework The National Export Development Plan 2026–2030 will be a critical roadmap to enhance competitiveness, diversify export markets, strengthen institutions, and deliver sustainable economic growth for Sri Lanka.
