I get asked this a lot. So here’s the clearest explanation I can give. SomaNeuro Alignment combines two things that most approaches do separately: 1. Somatic body-based movements that communicate safety directly to your nervous system without having to “think” you’re safe (consciously) When I first tried somatic work on it’s own, it was helpful, but I was reliant on it - I could be with sensations in my body and bring my body out of stress, but I kept running into the same beliefs that kept me feeling so stressed in the first place (think: If I feel unworthy if I’m not perfect, I’ll always get stressed when I’m not perfect, even if somatic work can help me be with that stress) 2. Subconscious rewiring that updates the deep-level beliefs and patterns that keep the nervous system in high-alert In my experience, subconscious work had really great promise, but I could never get into it because I was always so restless and unable to relax my mind. Most healing approaches address one or the other right? But independently, neither addresses the whole picture, and certainly not at the same time when practiced apart. SomaNeuro Alignment does both.
