Six‑Week Teaching Series | March 29 – May 31 The Path to Enlightenment is a six week teaching series offering a clear and progressive exploration of Buddhist wisdom, guiding participants through essential stages of inner development. It is based on the landmark text, “Path to Enlightenment in Tibetan Buddhism”, by the great yogi and scholar, Geshe Acharya Thubten Loden. The series begins with an examination of negative approaches called delusions, reflections on death and rebirth, then turning to the Twelve Links of Dependent Arising. These teachings explore how experiences arise through interdependence, offering insight into habitual patterns and how they can be understood and gradually released. From mid April, the series moves into the Great Scope, with teachings on the path to liberation and entering the great path. This stage explores motivation beyond personal concerns, towards a more profound and altruistic aim in spiritual practice. The second half of the series focuses on How to Develop Bodhichitta, the compassionate aspiration to benefit all beings. You will learn about the sources of bodhichitta, how to cultivate this mindset, recognise your progress, and practise bodhichitta in the context of the Bodhisattva vows. About the Classes Sunday classes are held in a beautiful traditional Tibetan temple and are suitable for newcomers and experienced meditators alike. The serene space features a large statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, beautiful garden surrounds, and both cushions and chairs for comfort. Each class includes a guided meditation, a talk, and Q&A, followed by refreshments and an opportunity to chat. The teacher, Chris, is a long‑term student of the Society’s founder, Geshe Loden. $10 facility charge. Proceeds support the upkeep of the temple and gardens. Address: 20 Cookes Rd, Yuroke (5 minutes west of Craigieburn). Learn more at tibetanbuddhistsociety.org or email [email protected].
