Wear His Name Carefully One of the saddest things in this world is when Jesus is misrepresented by the very people who claim to serve Him. The Bible says, “The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you” (Romans 2:24). That is a serious thought. People may misunderstand Jesus because of the way His followers live, speak, treat others, or excuse what He came to save us from. Jesus did not call us merely to wear His name. He called us to reflect His character. “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). That means everything in our lives should be brought before Him—our words, habits, entertainment, attitudes, friendships, choices, and priorities. Not because we are trying to earn His love, but because we already have it. If something does not honor God, then it is not good for us either. No sin is worth protecting. No habit is worth keeping. No pleasure is worth holding onto if it hides the beauty of Jesus from the world. “Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity” (2 Timothy 2:19). The world does not need more people who simply claim Christianity. It needs people who show what Jesus is really like. Kind. Pure. Honest. Patient. Merciful. Faithful. Loving. The more clearly we see Jesus, the more naturally we begin to love Him—and the more we love Him, the more everything unlike Him begins to lose its hold. #FollowJesus #BiblicalTruth #ChristianLiving
