Kindness. Specifically, strangers being kind to strangers. How do I even begin to describe the kindness that THOUSANDS of you have shown. I have had so, so many people who have shared my Goofy Newfy posts...WHO I HAVE NEVER EVEN MET! I have had people comment, like, follow, purchase. Dozens of messages, even more comments, and...did I say THOUSANDS of reactions--OVER FIVE THOUSAND?! We all have so much going on. Work, family, sickness, childcare, on and on and on the list goes of things that cause us to be unkind. Sometimes it is easy to forget how simple and easy it is to just...be kind. Especially to strangers. That's what this children's book is about. Thor at his first day of doggy daycare. And wow...how much kindness this group has given to me! I really, really am just floored by it. The dedication to my book reads: "For Lincoln and Ada, the lights of my life For Kate, the holder of my heart To children everywhere, as a reminder we are *all* different, weird, *and* worthy of love and friendship" We ARE all a little different and weird and we also are all worthy of love and friendship. What is a more powerful message than that? A more powerful story? Especially for children! To have almost SIX HUNDRED individuals follow Thor's Goofy Newfy page--to join a movement of simple friendliness and friendship--is just incredible. A strong reminder how many people out there find the message valuable and worthy of sharing.
