☀️ Morning Truth One of the greatest spiritual battles you’ll fight today won’t happen around you… It will happen within you. James 4:7 says, “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (NIV) Notice the order. James doesn’t say: “Fight the devil first.” He says: “Submit yourselves… to God.” Why? Because victory doesn’t begin with striving. It begins with surrender. Submission isn’t weakness. It’s choosing to place your thoughts, your desires, your plans, and your reactions under God’s authority instead of your own. The enemy loves to whisper lies like: “You’ll never change.” “You’re not enough.” “God has forgotten you.” “You’ll always struggle with this.” But those lies lose their power when your heart is anchored in God’s truth. You don’t resist temptation by trying harder. You resist it by staying closer to Jesus. The more we submit to God, the easier it becomes to recognize the enemy’s voice—and the quicker we are to replace his lies with God’s promises. So before you begin your day, don’t just ask God to bless your plans. Ask Him to shape your heart. Ask Him to guide your words. Ask Him to strengthen your mind. Ask Him to help you recognize truth from deception. Because a surrendered heart is a protected heart. Walk into today knowing this: You don’t fight for victory. In Christ, you fight from victory. Stand firm in His truth, stay close to His presence, and trust that God is stronger than anything that comes against you.
