Ad text
Good morning, sweet friend, and Happy Fourth of July. ☕🇺🇸🤍 Before the celebrations begin, can we sit with one sentence that quietly puts everything into perspective? “Since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken…” (Hebrews 12:28) I love that the writer of Hebrews doesn’t say, “You have received.” He says, “You are receiving.” It’s a reminder that God is still at work. His kingdom isn’t just a future promise—it’s a present reality that we’re living in every single day. Then there’s the phrase that grips my heart: “A kingdom that cannot be shaken.” Everything around us can change. Nations rise and fall. Economies shift. Relationships experience seasons. Our health, our plans, and our circumstances can all feel uncertain. But God’s kingdom stands untouched by anything this world can throw at it. I think that’s the truth we often overlook. We spend so much energy trying to build lives that feel secure. Yet Scripture gently reminds us that our greatest security isn’t found in what can be protected—it’s found in what can never be shaken. That’s why the verse doesn’t stop with God’s faithfulness. It says, “Let us be thankful, and so worship God…” Gratitude naturally becomes worship when we realize what we’ve been given. As we celebrate the blessings of our country today, let’s also remember that our deepest citizenship is in Christ. We can be profoundly thankful for the freedoms we enjoy while recognizing that our greatest freedom came through the cross. Whether you’re gathering with family, missing someone you love, working today, or simply enjoying a quiet morning on the porch, let your heart rest in this truth: Our hope isn’t anchored to temporary kingdoms. It’s anchored to the eternal King. So let me ask you… 🤍 What temporary thing have you been depending on that feels a little shaky today? 🤍 How might your perspective change if you began this day remembering that you belong to a kingdom that can never be shaken? I’m still learning to hold earthly blessings with grateful hands while holding even tighter to Christ. What a gift that we get to grow together. Happy Fourth of July, sweet friend. May your heart be filled with gratitude—for the freedoms we celebrate today, and even more, for the Savior who has given us an unshakable hope. #SavedSouthernStillBecoming #HappyFourthOfJuly #Hebrews1228 #BibleStudy #WomenInTheWord #FaithAndFreedom #FrontPorchFaith #KingdomThatCannotBeShaken
