I started this page wanting to get the message out how to get started as a Legal Nurse in an affordable way! I wish someone had told me I didn’t need a $10,000 course back in 2015 when I first started researching. A little piece of my story is that I started researching Legal Nursing in 2015 after I became engaged. Finally at 22 weeks pregnant in 2016, I attended a class that was $10,000. The class was great and informative but it didn’t give me basic realistic steps to get started. Once I broke into the career, I found out I didn’t even need a course at all and especially not a 10k one. Oh how I was sick to my stomach. I wish someone would have told me. I began subcontracting and found my way in 2016. Once I became a Mama, I knew I wanted more for my family than being gone from my babies for a full day. I thought two 12 hour shifts was going to be the dream scheduled until I experienced it and found out I didn’t like not seeing my babies for an entire day! Then In 2020, I was furloughed from both bedside nursing jobs 2 weeks before my husband was furloughed. We wallowed for a bit then suddenly began to realize the benefits of no commute, eating dinner earlier & together, no rushing out the door to chase the time clock, and just time freedom. I had already started a side business in Legal Nursing and I decided to dig my heels in and not go back to the hospital. I never looked back.
