#WOMEN #IN #BUSINESS #SUMMIT #BLOEMFONTEIN Panel Speaker 🎤 Millisante De Wee-Petersen Millisanté De Wee-Petersen completed her schooling years in a small town in the Northern Cape, namely Upington. She matriculated from High School Upington, after being actively involved in leadership, achieving academic success while enjoying the great lessons in the world of arts through her involvement in choir, ballet and modern contemporary dance. This all remains with her in her adult years, as her love for the arts is where she often finds her inspiration or breakaway from her demanding corporate career. In 2016, Millisanté enrolled at the University of the Free State where she commenced her studies for her LLB degree, with an eager passion to be part of the legal profession. During her four years of tertiary education at the university, she was actively involved in various leadership roles at the on-campus residence (House Akasia) where she ultimately served as the Prime of the female residence in her final year of studies. During her time on campus, she enjoyed the microcosm that the university space provided as a test for life thereafter and she enhanced her advocacy and leadership skills by serving as the Chairperson on Embrace a Sister NPO and as Community Office of the Golden Key, UFS Chapter, to name a few. One of her core ideologies is that one must always ensure that all aspects of your pie chart are improving, and not necessarily just your arsenal of academic or career skills, as that is not the only source of knowledge and wisdom. In 2020, Millisanté graduated from the UFS with her LLB degree and immediately commenced her articles as a candidate legal practitioner role at PH Attorneys here in Bloemfontein. In March of 2022 she was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa, and since then she has been tackling the highs and lows of being a young attorney in the field with a great admiration for the art of law. From her brief start in Litigation, she soon after found her passion in Commercial and Corporate Law at the firm. In 2024, Millisanté was appointed as the youngest director of the firm at the age of 26, where she now navigates new chapters in mentoring, leadership and building her competence in entrepreneurial aspects of the profession while continuously enhancing her practice. She relocated from the Bloemfontein office in 2025 to establish the Commercial Practice Group in the Mossel Bay office of #PH #Attorneys one of our SACBW Corporate Members. She is currently pursuing the last phase of her Masters degree at the UFS, with a keen focus on the surge of artificial intelligence in the context of the commercial and intellectual property laws in South Africa. She is a driven and dynamic legal professional who thrives in the complexities of an ever-evolving legal landscape. With a deep passion for leadership and empowerment, she continuously seeks opportunities to grow, inspire, and make meaningful impact. At the heart of her work lies an unwavering commitment to serving her clients with excellence, guided by a strong foundation of integrity, purpose, and a steadfast dedication to mentorship and continued serving.
