I weighed 340 pounds and took 8 pills a day. As a pastor, I preached about honoring God every Sunday — then walked straight to the church potluck and piled my plate so high you could see it from the parking lot. I was a hypocrite. And I knew it. I'd tried every diet out there. Weight Watchers. Low carb. Calorie counting. Nothing lasted more than a few weeks. Then one night, God asked me a simple question that changed everything. "Steve, what do you tell people when they're struggling?" "Look to the Bible." "Then why aren't you?" I searched the word "body" in Scripture. It appears 179 times. 179 times — and I had never applied a single verse to what I was eating for dinner. That led me to build a biblical framework for weight loss. Not a fad diet. Not a pill. A lifestyle based on what God actually says about your body. I lost 130 pounds. Got off every medication. Fox News called me "The Anti-Fat Pastor." Now I've put the 10 most powerful Bible verses from my experience into a free guide. Inside you'll find: The exact 10 verses that changed my life My personal story behind each one A reflection question and action step for each verse 75,000 people have read my book. 1,000 churches have used this system.
