In China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, agricultural unmanned #drones have been widely applied to #plant protection operations for crops including #wheat, #cotton, corn and sugar beets. Compared with manual work and ground machinery, drone operations not only effectively improve the prevention and control of #crop diseases, pests and weeds, but also enable the reduced, precise, efficient and rational application of pesticides, marking a shift from excessive water and fertilizer use to precision pesticide application. In the construction of #agricultural mechanization demonstration zones in Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture of #Xinjiang this year, plant protection operations via agricultural unmanned drones have been extensively promoted as a flagship technology. The annual operating area is expected to exceed 5 million mu-times.
