Negative thoughts come in many forms: suspicion, distrust, ill will towards others, passionate jealousy, religious jealousy, political jealousy, jealousy of friends or family, greed, lust, revenge, anger, pride, envy, hatred, resentment, theft, adultery, laziness, gluttony, etc., etc., etc. These quarrelsome "Negative Selves" easily seize hold of certain mental patterns stored in our Intellectual Center and sequentially generate harmful and detrimental mental currents. If we accept these thoughts, these "Negative Selves" that at any given moment control our Intellectual Center, we will then be unable to free ourselves from their consequences. We must never forget that every "Negative Selves" "Deceives Itself" and "Deceives Others." In conclusion: It lies. The "Negative Self of Adultery" annihilates noble homes and makes children unhappy. The "Negative Self of Jealousy" deceives those who adore each other and destroys their happiness. The "Negative Self of Mystical Pride" deceives devotees of the Path, and these, feeling wise, come to despise or betray their Master... The Negative Self appeals to our personal experiences, our memories, our deepest desires, our sincerity, and, through a rigorous selection of all these, presents something in a false light, something that fascinates, and then failure follows... However, when one discovers the "Self" in action, when one has learned to live in a state of alertness, such deception becomes impossible... If in the merely physical realm we have a father and mother, in the deepest part of our Being we also have our Father who is in secret and our Divine Mother KUNDALINI. There are as many Fathers in Heaven as there are people on earth. God the Mother in our own intimacy is the feminine aspect of our Father who is in secret. It goes converting into one’s Soul. As an example, a tree stands on its main roots. The main roots do not nourish it, but only keep it standing against the winds and its own weight so that it does not fall, or topple over. The tiny feeder roots are the ones that spread out over the surface of the soil, and go absorbing the nutrients to nourish it. The Ego does the same within us or within humanity. The thick roots sustaining the tree symbolize the cardinal defects, like lust, revenge, anger, pride and others. The small feeder roots represent the details, those diminutive manifestations that are part and feeders of cardinal defects. We do not believe those details to be defects at all, and yet they feed the Ego. The Ego is nourished by all those diminutive details, which we have in large quantities. There is another Divine Spark within us that is called the Divine Mother, whose mission is to disintegrate our defects with a lance that she possesses.No matter how diminutive these details may be, while manifesting, one must ask the Inner Divine Mother: “My Mother, remove this defect from me and disintegrate it with your lance.” She will do so because that is Her mission, to help us so that we can liberate ourselves.
