New book: Curse of the Rainbow Sprinkles https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0FYHDP639 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FYHDP639 It’s a fantasy book around 70,000 words. As with a lot of my books, it has a serious story done in a humorous way. It’s set on the same world as some of my other books but is a stand-alone, so there’s no need to read anything else first (because that would be incredibly rude of me). In short, it’s about three women who meet during the course of the story and attempt to save a town from the threat of a demon. And there are rainbow-sprinkled doughnuts, too. Here’s the blurb: Running a bakery in the small town Brelazton, Baxter has always found the place a little odd. Everyone is far too happy in their worship of Daemon Lord Brelazael, but she assumes that’s just how life is. Stumbling upon the rehearsal for one of her customers to be executed, Baxter remembers blood sacrifice is offered once every hundred years, to make sure the demon doesn’t return. Leaving her bizarrely happy town, she sets off to find a means of stopping the sacrifice. The more people she encounters in the outside world, the more she realises her town is far from normal. On her travels, she meets up with a compulsive gambler called Peggy and a kleptomaniac called Daisy. Both women have fled their own homes due to their disruptive influence, but Baxter can’t be choosy about her allies. Together, the three women intend to save Brelazton, solve the mystery of the people’s blind subservience and, with any luck, do it all without having the daemon lord attack the town in fury. Probably best they don’t look at the cover of this book, then.
