He had asked me: “What challenges will I face if I aim to become the richest person in India?” 💭 I didn’t give him a motivational quote. I told him this. 📖 It was a day sometime in April–May 2009 when I went to take delivery of a petrol Toyota Innova. At Lakozy Toyota, the Japanese MD was personally present and said, "I rarely see Indians choose petrol Innovas. I like your choice." We exchanged a smile. 😊 But something else stayed with me. At the gate of their huge showroom, there was a big board 📋 with the names of two customers scheduled for delivery that day. One was our company’s — booked well in advance. The other belonged to a company that is now India’s largest 🏢 Their name appeared above ours. 🔼 That explained a lot. 📌 You may do everything right. You may be the most hardworking 💪 or the most eligible ✅ — but power has its own algorithm.
